うがい薬問題
わが家では秋から冬になると、うがい強化キャンペーンを行って健康を心がけてきたのだが、そのわが家を震撼させる記事に遭遇した。
それが、これである。
最初、この記事を知ったのはmixiに取り上げられていたからなのだが、mixi内のアドレスを載せても、mixi会員以外の人は見られないかもしれない。そこで、日刊サイゾー内の記事ページに直接リンクを貼ることにした。
サイゾーといえば、ジャニーズ関連の記事やグラビア関係というイメージが私の中では強かったのだが、それはそれとして うがいに関するこの記事が正しいとすれば（疑っているわけではないけど）、わが家のがんばりは何だったのだろう、という気にさせられる。
イソジンなどの液が濃い茶色っぽいうがい薬は、歯に色が付くからと、かすかに紫ががかっているが透明に近い液を用いている（原液には色が付いているが、適量を水に薄めると透明に近くなる）パープルショットうがい薬を、こだわって購入していたのにあまり意味がなかったのか。下北沢北口のミネ薬局が扱っているのを知ったとき、わが家では小躍りして喜んだのに（わが家は移転してしまったため、あのミネ薬局を訪れることはあまりないかもしれない）。
うがいをするのは日本だけ。うがいをするとしても、水だけでいい。うがい薬を使うと、「のどの正常細胞を傷つけたり、のどをいい状態に保ってくれている常在細菌を壊してしまい、かえって風邪ウィルスを侵入しやすくしている可能性がある（同記事より）」のだとすれば、我々のうがい努力はいったい……。
記事は「ヨード液」のうがい薬に関してのものなので、水溶性アズレン配合（らしい）のパープルショットうがい薬の効果は別なのかなぁ。
と自分で書いてもいても、水溶性アズレンというのが何者なのかよくわからないので、インターネット検索してみた。
すると、『お薬事典 みんなの薬局』というウェブサイトの「水溶性アズレン
」のページが見つかった。ドンピシャ、じゃないか。
そのページによれば、
成分名
アズレンスルホン酸ナトリウム
作用
炎症を抑え、粘膜にできた潰瘍（粘膜や皮膚の深部にまで及ぶ表面の欠損のある病変）の治癒を促進する作用があるので、内服では胃炎や胃潰瘍の治療に用いられる。また、トローチやうがい薬として、咽頭炎、口内炎、舌炎に用いられる。
副作用
内服では下痢、便秘、お腹が張るなどの軽い消火器症状が起こることがある。また、複合材はグルタミンを配合してあり、十二指腸潰瘍にも効果がある。トローチやうがい薬では口の中に軽い刺激を感じることがある。軟膏は塗った部分があかくなったりすることもある。
用法・注意点
食前に服用する。トローチやうがい薬は決められた使い方を守る。

ということ。といっても、水溶性アズレンがトローチやうがい薬として用いられることはわかったが、パープルショットうがい薬としてどうなのか、うがいは水でするだけでいいのかなど、よくわからない。ヨード液と水溶性アズレンの違いは？
困った。う〜ん、どうしよう。パープルショットうがい薬を使うべきか、やめるべきか、それが問題だ。
わが家のうがい騒動は、まだ続きそうだ。
